Pump noise has been a major discomfort for lab
technicians working with mass spectrometers.
Because pump noise is, at this time, a necessary
element of mass spectrometry research, high
decibel levels are accepted as part of the
process.
We have developed a number of design features that work together to create a significant decrease in the noise associated with pump operation.
These features include an integrated mechanical pump enclosure, Sonex sound suppression foam and an integrated shock mount for vibration dampening.
Our noise suppression options also include single, dual or triple heat exhaust fans (120 cfm) to dissipate pump heat or channel pollutant air to a central exhaust system. Additionally, Omni can provide vibration-reducing drip pans for the mechanical pumps.
